Illuxcon 2009

Over the weekend I took a long drive out to Altoona, PA. There I attended the 2nd Illuxcon. This was a place for collectors, artists, fans, and students to all get together and discuss the world of fantastic illustration. This particular convention displays the largest amount of fantastic originals. There were multiple lectures ranging from oil painting demonstrations to art director forums. It was an excellent place to learn, connect, and buy beautiful artwork! I plan on attending next year and would highly suggest to people who are interested in the world of fantastic illustration. Check out there website.

Also I would like to give a shout out to some artist friends that made the trip extra fun: Michael Hayes, Lucas Graciano, Ryan Schutter, and Scott Altmann.
